LIFE
MEMBERSHIP - This award is presented to an active member of the chapter
in good standing for a period of 10 years who has rendered distinctive service
to the chapter and its purposes for a minimum of 5 years. It is limited to one
recipient annually.
APPLICATION
INVESTIGATOR OF THE YEAR - This award is presented to an individual who is a member of the chapter and has shown outstanding achievement through the use of professional expertise, in both criminal and civil fields of fire investigation. It is limited to one recipient annually.
INVESTIGATION UNIT OF THE YEAR
- This award is presented to an investigation unit which has shown outstanding
achievement through the use of professional expertise in both the criminal and
civil fields of fire investigation. It is limited to one recipient annually. At
least one member of the unit is to be an active member of the chapter.

JERRY MAXWELL MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP - This award is presented to an active member of the chapter or individual directly related to an active chapter member. The applicant must have matriculated at an institution of higher learning in a credited program. The major course of study must be in fire science or criminal justice, although an award may be presented for an elective course in the individual's major curriculum. It is limited to one $500.00 scholarship annually. Recipients may reapply once every three years.
JOHN WEST, SR MEMORIAL JUVENILE FIRE SETTERS GRANT - This award is presented to those public sector organizations who have an active Juvenile Fire Setters Program in place. The grant is limited to a maximum of $500.00 per year, and may be utilized for juvenile fire setter materials or visual aid equipment related to training. It is limited to one $500.00 maximum grant annually. Recipients may apply once every three years.
